The space between a chauffeur and a bodyguard
Many clients do not want a visible protection detail. They want a driver who notices what others miss, who plans the route and the alternate, who positions the vehicle for a clean exit and who keeps the principal's schedule confidential. That is protective transportation, and it is Summit's signature service.
How it differs from standard chauffeur service
Protective transportation chauffeurs hold Florida Class D security licenses, complete Summit's protective-driving curriculum and operate under the firm's use-of-force and discretion standards. Vehicles are pre-positioned, routes are driven in advance for high-profile movements and the chauffeur maintains contact with your existing security team.
Who uses protective transportation
Public figures who want privacy, executives in the middle of a sensitive transaction, clients involved in litigation or a contentious separation, visiting dignitaries, and families who simply want to know the person driving their children is trained to protect them.
Where we provide protective transportation
Protective Transportation is available throughout our South Florida corridor:
Frequently asked questions
Is the chauffeur armed?+
Protective transportation is unarmed by default. Armed service is available through our executive protection division with Class G licensed agents.
Will it look like I have security?+
No. The vehicle is unmarked, the chauffeur is suit-attired and the posture is low-profile. The difference is in the training, not the appearance.
